How it is set up
Access is granted through an Entra ID app registration with exactly the permissions the integration needs. We run in a sandbox environment first, where you can see what would have been created, before anything is written to production. If you run on-premise or with heavily customised tables, we adjust the field mapping during implementation.
Destination
Do we have to install an app in Business Central?
No. The integration runs through the official APIs and only needs an app registration with the permissions Doclane actually uses. You can withdraw access at any time.
Does it work with our custom fields?
Yes. Field mapping is configured during implementation. If you have your own tables or extensions, we map to those instead of the standard fields.
What about our approval flows in BC?
We leave them alone. Doclane creates the record in the right place, and your own approval flow then runs exactly as it does when the record is typed by hand.
